Acrylic Paint, Matte Medium, Sequins, Glitter, Paper, Beads, Rhinestones, Fabric, on Canvas
This painting depicts me not seeing my "gayness" as sinful, evil, or even as a condemning curse but finally accepting myself as I naturally am. Stepping out of my altered mind frame and starting to nurture the side of me that I’ve been suppressing for years to finds that's it's beautiful. To be more whole and at peace. Cutting out harmful theology that has always left me in turmoil as an outsider. Putting to rest the exhausting mental shaming to replace it with healthier practice and communities.
